JUPITER -- Jeff and Hilda Gibbons started Premier Limousine six years ago on the premise that they would offer new luxury vehicles, experienced and courteous drivers and prompt service. This credo has held fast and Gibbons says “our growing clientele appreciates our being reliable in serving their airport or executive transportation needs. Being recognized as a reliable company is the key factor in our growth.” However, Gibbons states that Jupiter/Tequesta has grown since the company began and that has figured into our growth as well. He also explained that today’s economy has curtailed much of the luxury limo reservations, but airport transportation has blossomed.

Premier Limousine is actually two entities serving one purpose. The limo service provides transportation for special occasions, while its subsidiary company, Jupiter/Tequesta Airport Transportation handles airport shuttles. In recognizing the influx of airport transport requests, Gibbons pointed out that the company regularly makes 60 or more airport trips per week. “There are a number of reservations for limousines, too, Gibbons noted, “but due to the ailing economy people are not splurging as much as they did in the previous years.”

The company services airports and seaports in Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, and responds to transportation needs in Palm Beach, Martin and St. Lucie Counties. It complies with insurance and license requirements for all ports served.

Another plus for Premier is that all of their vehicles are purchased new. The present fleet includes three Lincoln Town Cars (a 2010 just delivered last week), a white 12-passenger limousine (12 adults ride comfortably in this), a white 8-passenger limousine and a black 6-passenger limousine. Premier also has SUVs and vans available.

Pricing for the limo service is competitive. “Despite the fact that we offer a high quality service,” Mr. Gibbons said, “we continue to offer very reasonable rates. Because of this fact, we have other limo companies calling us to cover for them when things get busy. We find, it is good business to cooperate with our competition and we all remain on very friendly terms.”

Mr. Gibbons offered high praise for his staff. “To us, promptness is essential, and all of our drivers take their jobs seriously. They always dress properly and display a courteous attitude. All drivers are licensed and professionally trained.”

Today’s ever changing world many times requires additional services to meet demands. A plus for Premier is its bi-lingual status. “The primary language is English,” Jeff says, “but we also speak Spanish and Portuguese. We feel it is important to address other prominent language needs in the limo business. In an area that attracts so many multi-cultural individuals, Hilda and I feel it is a huge benefit for the business to remain bilingual.”

Before coming to South Florida, Mr. Gibbons had been in the limo business in New York. “We had always wanted to have our own company,” he explained. “With the influx of people into South Florida, it seemed plausible that it would be possible to grow such a business in this area. The family was moved to Jupiter, the company was started and we’ve been pleased with the reception received over the past six years. We truly appreciate the growing clientele.”
